Boeing 737 Max Door Plug Lawsuits Get New Judge
A Washington state court has appointed retired King County Superior Court Judge Bruce W. Hilyer to oversee discovery matters in lawsuits related to the January 2024 blowout of a Boeing 737 Max 9 jet door plug.
The incident allegedly left passengers with physical and emotional injuries, prompting multiple lawsuits against the aircraft manufacturer.
Judge Hilyer's appointment aims to streamline the discovery process for over a dozen lawsuits, which are currently pending in Washington state court.
