Boeing 737 MAX Inspections Ordered After Fuselage Cracks Discovered

Around 1,800 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft worldwide are undergoing inspections due to fuselage cracks. The checks focus on areas near doors and emergency exits in the eighth and ninth series of the planes. This is the second major inspection for this family of aircraft, following last year's checks related to seat installation issues.

The U.S. authorities have decided to extend these checks to MAX models, considering design similarities with affected aircraft. In total, 471 planes in the United States and another 1,400 worldwide are targeted for inspections.

Romanian airline TAROM is preparing to introduce four Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, with the first already completing a successful test flight.
