Boeing and Poland Forge Apache Support Partnership
Poland has taken a significant step towards establishing itself as a major hub for Apache helicopter support in Europe. The country has partnered with Boeing to set up a local service center for Warsaw's incoming fleet of AH-64E Apache Guardian attack helicopters.
The agreement, signed between Polish state enterprise Wojskowe Zakłady Lotnicze Nr 1 (WZL-1) and the Military Central Bureau of Design and Technology (WCBKT), will provide technical expertise and training to WZL-1 for organizational and intermediate-level maintenance, repair, and overhaul assistance.
Under this arrangement, Boeing will also test Polish-made ground support equipment for compatibility with the rotary-wing aircraft. This support hub is expected to initially sustain the national fleet before expanding services to foreign Apache operators.
The deal is a direct result of Poland's $10 billion contract with Boeing for 96 AH-64E Guardians, which are scheduled to be delivered from 2028 through 2030.
