Boeing CBTA Solution Takes Flight in Thailand's Aviation Training
Thailand's aviation regulator has partnered with Boeing to introduce its Competency-Based Training and Assessment (CBTA) Learning Library solution across flight training organisations in Thailand.
This marks the first time a regulator has implemented CBTA across an entire ecosystem, aiming to develop pilots with the technical and behavioral competencies required for successful airline careers.
The initiative reflects a shared commitment between Boeing and the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) to enhancing aviation safety, training quality, and workforce readiness.
Citing demand for 66,000 new pilots over the next 20 years across Southeast Asia, Chris Broom, vice president of Boeing Commercial Training Solutions, said, 'Boeing is proud to work with CAAT to support Thailand's aviation training ecosystem.'
Iratrachar Amornpipat, Personnel Licensing Department Manager at CAAT, added that the collaboration represents an important step in advancing pilot training standards in Thailand.
