Boeing Contributes $250K to Spokane Wildfire Recovery Efforts
Airplane manufacturer Boeing has pledged $250,000 to aid in wildfire recovery efforts in Eastern Washington. The donation comes from the Boeing Charitable Trust and will be distributed through the Innovia Foundation, which supports local nonprofits, businesses, and community organizations.
According to Jeff Shockey, Boeing's executive vice president of Government Operations, Global Public Policy & Corporate Strategy, 'Our thoughts are with the families and communities severely impacted by the ongoing wildfires in the Spokane area.'
The funding will support immediate needs and accelerate recovery across the region. Boeing employees can also contribute through their local Boeing Employees Community Fund chapter and participate in volunteer and charitable gift match programs.
