Boeing Deliveries Plummet to 51 in August, 787 Drop Raises Concerns

Boeing's August deliveries totaled 51 planes, with 41 of those being 737 Maxes. This is in line with previous months' numbers for the 737 Max, but a sharp drop from June when Boeing delivered 42 Max planes.

The number of 787 Dreamliners delivered plummeted to just four last month, down from 10 in July and 13 in June. In August 2025, Boeing delivered nine 787s.

Boeing's spokesperson said the timing of deliveries can vary depending on customer requirements, but did not provide a clear reason for the dip in 787 deliveries.

In other news, Boeing booked 15 gross orders last month, including two for the 737 Max and 13 for the 787 Dreamliner. The company's commercial backlog decreased from 6,192 at the end of July to 6,156 at the end of August.
