Boeing Delivers 418 Aircraft Through First Eight Months of 2026
Boeing's commercial aircraft delivery pace continued to impress in August, reaching its highest tally for the first eight months of 2026 since 2018. The company handed over a total of 418 aircraft through the end of August, with 51 deliveries made during the month itself.
The breakdown of August's deliveries includes 42 737 family jets, with 41 being the newer 737 MAX variant and one being a 737 NG model. Additionally, Boeing delivered four 787 Dreamliners, three 767s, and two 777 freighters in August.
Southwest Airlines received nine 737 MAX aircraft during the month, making it one of the largest identified recipients of Boeing narrowbody aircraft. Boeing's backlog remains strong, with 6,156 commercial aircraft on order at the end of August.
