Boeing Delivers 51 Jets in August, 737 MAX Leads
Boeing delivered 51 jets in August, a slight dip from the previous month and down from 57 jets from a year earlier. The number of 787 Dreamliners handed to customers declined, with only four shipped this month compared to nine in August 2025.
The company's delivery of 41 737 MAX jets was notable, with nine going to Southwest Airlines, eight to United Airlines, and five to lessor AerCap. The drop in 787 deliveries is not due to any production, supply chain or certification problems, according to a spokesperson.
Through August, Boeing has delivered 418 aircraft, the most since 2018 when it delivered 481 jets through the first eight months of the year. This means that hitting its target of 90 to 100 Dreamliner deliveries this year would require another 41 handovers over the final four months.
