Boeing Donates $250K to Support Wildfire Recovery in Greater Spokane Area
Boeing has donated $250,000 to support wildfire recovery efforts in the Greater Spokane Area. The funding will go towards helping nonprofits, businesses, and community organizations provide relief to those affected by the wildfires.
The donation comes from the Boeing Charitable Trust, which is dedicated to supporting local communities where Boeing employees live and work. In addition to this corporate contribution, Boeing employees can also make individual donations through their local Boeing Employees Community Fund chapter and have them matched by the company.
Jeff Shockey, executive vice president of Government Operations, Global Public Policy & Corporate Strategy at Boeing, said, 'Our thoughts are with the families and communities severely impacted by the ongoing wildfires in the Spokane area.' He added that the funds will help address immediate needs and accelerate recovery across the region.
