Boeing Engineers Union Contracts Hit Snag Over Wage Hikes
Negotiations between Boeing and the Society of Professional Engineering Employees in Aerospace (SPEEA) will resume on September 8, after talks ended last week following a rejected contract offer.
The SPEEA members had overwhelmingly rejected Boeing's four-year contract offer on August 21. In an internal survey, engineers and technical workers identified higher general wage increases as their top priority in the next offer.
A spokesperson for Boeing stated that they look forward to taking in the feedback from SPEEA and reaching a resolution that benefits employees and keeps the company competitive.
