Boeing Engineers Union Reaches Tentative Contract Deal After Months of Negotiations
Boeing and its engineering union, SPEEA, have reached a tentative contract agreement after months of negotiations. The new four-year offer includes higher general wage increases than the initial proposal, which was rejected by SPEEA members in August.
The deal would give around 17,000 SPEEA members a 10% wage raise on October 16, followed by 4% raises plus merit-based increases from 2027 to 2030. The agreement also includes changes to work-from-home policies and overtime limits for professional unit members.
SPEEA's negotiating team said they 'heard' their members' concerns about general wage increases and took them back to the table with Boeing executives. While the deal is not everything SPEEA asked for, it represents a step forward in improving pay and work lives for union members.
