Boeing Engineers' Union Reaches Tentative Deal on New Contract
Boeing and its engineers' union have reached a tentative agreement on a new collective bargaining contract, potentially averting a strike. The revised proposal offers substantially larger pay increases than the initial agreement, which was rejected by union members in August.
The four-year contract includes a 10% pay increase for approximately 17,000 SPEEA members effective October 16, with additional general increases of 4% scheduled for 2027-2030. Performance-based pay increases are also included in the proposal.
According to Boeing's vice president and chief functional engineer of manufacturing engineering, Ben Nimmergut, 'Our final contract proposal addresses the key priorities identified by employees and SPEEA's negotiating teams, including immediate pay increases and expanded funds for guaranteed pay raises.'
