Boeing Establishes Polish Maintenance Center for AH-64E Apache Fleet
Boeing has signed agreements to establish a maintenance center in Poland for the Polish Army's future fleet of AH-64E Apache attack helicopters. The signing ceremony took place at Wojskowe Zakłady Lotnicze Nr 1 S.A.'s (WZL-1) Łódź facility on August 11, with Prime Minister Donald Tusk and Deputy Defense Minister Magdalena Sobkowiak-Czarnecka in attendance.
The agreements include the establishment of a repair center that will provide maintenance, overhaul, and repair services for the AH-64E. This includes organizational- and intermediate-level inspections and repairs, as well as selected depot-level component repairs. Boeing and WCBKT (the Military Central Bureau of Design and Technology S.A.) will also evaluate selected ground support equipment for use with the AH-64E.
The new center is expected to become one of the largest in Europe once operational. The agreement is part of industrial offset agreements related to Poland's purchase of 96 AH-64Es, which was signed in 2024 and is valued at approximately $10.8 billion. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2028.
