Boeing Evaluates Odysight.ai's AI-Powered Visual Sensing Technology
An Israeli AI company has taken its technology to new heights by signing an agreement with Boeing to demonstrate its computer-vision platform at two Boeing sites. Odysight.ai, which has already deployed its technology on Israeli Air Force Apache helicopters since 2023, will now showcase its visual sensing and predictive-maintenance capabilities in a laboratory and test environment.
The company's AI-powered system uses computer vision, real-time analytics, and machine learning to monitor critical mechanical systems, identify anomalies, and predict potential failures. This approach is being tested by Boeing as part of an industrial cooperation agreement between the aerospace giant and Israel's Industrial Cooperation Authority.
For Odysight.ai, this agreement represents a significant step towards transitioning its military-focused technology into the broader aerospace market. The company has already conducted proof-of-concepts with Honeywell Aerospace and has programs involving the SH-60 Seahawk and Heron TP UAV, as well as a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement with the U.S. Navy's Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division.
