Boeing Exec Warns of Aviation Safety Challenges in Rapidly Growing South-East Asia

Malcom An, senior managing director for Global Strategic Initiatives at The Boeing Company, emphasized the importance of keeping pace with rapid growth in regional aviation safety. South-East Asia's commercial aircraft fleet is expected to more than triple by 2045, reaching over 5,200 planes.

The current number of operational commercial aircraft in the region stands at approximately 1,500. This growth brings both opportunities and challenges for ensuring the highest level of safety.
