Boeing Faces Strike Threat from Seattle-Area Workers
Seattle-area Boeing workers have voted to reject their proposed contract and approve a strike in October. The decision was made by members of SPEEA's Professional and Technical units, who overwhelmingly rejected the company's proposal for a new contract.
The union's announcement stated that the rejection was made late on August 21. According to the report, this could put Boeing at risk of another labor stoppage in Seattle.
Michael Bruno, Executive Editor for Business at Aviation Week Network, noted that this decision may have significant implications for the aerospace industry.
