Boeing Invests Heavily in Region with New 737 Production Line
On July 10, Boeing celebrated the grand opening of its new 737 North production line in Everett, marking a $1 billion investment in the future of the Puget Sound region. The event was a proud moment for the company and both Renton and Everett cities.
The celebration began with a relay run from the Renton factory to the Everett factory, covering 31 miles. Mayors Armondo Pavone of Renton and Cassie Franklin of Everett took part in the relay, symbolizing their communities' partnership for success.
Boeing has been building airplanes on Lake Washington's shores since 1941, with production beginning in Renton in 1967. The new North line in Everett will enable Boeing to build more 737s for customers worldwide.
The company's workforce is crucial to its success, with employees being the economic backbone of both cities. Their commitment to quality and safety contributes significantly to the region's prosperity.
