Boeing Invests in Archer Aviation Amid Autonomous Aircraft Acquisition

Arcer Aviation has announced that it will be acquiring Boeing's Wisk Aero, Insitu, and SkyGrid subsidiaries. As part of the deal, Archer will also receive an investment from Boeing. The acquisition is aimed at building a 'diversified platform' and scaling revenue, according to Archer CEO Adam Goldstein.

The companies have entered into a collaboration and technology-sharing agreement as part of the transaction. This allows Boeing to retain access to Wisk's core autonomous flight technology for its existing and next-generation commercial and defense aircraft.

Boeing will maintain strategic exposure through its stake in Archer while directing its current and future investments toward its core businesses.
