Boeing's jet deliveries dropped by 17% in July compared to June, when the company handed over 64 jets. Despite this decline, Boeing still managed to deliver five more jets than it did in July of last year, totaling 53 aircraft. The majority of these deliveries were composed of Boeing's best-selling 737 MAX jet and the 787 model.

The U.S.-based planemaker trailed European rival Airbus, which delivered 67 planes in July. Boeing also booked 30 new orders after adjusting for cancellations during the month, including a notable order from Irish leasing giant SMBC Aviation for 100 737 MAX jets.

Boeing's deliveries through July have reached 367 jets this year, with 279 of those being the 737 MAX model. The company has also booked more than 130 orders for the 737-10, the largest MAX variant.
