Boeing Lands $131 Billion Framework Contract for F-15 Program
The U.S. Department of Defense has awarded Boeing a long-term framework contract for the F-15 program, known as Eagle Crest, worth up to $131.23 billion. The agreement runs through 2037 and encompasses more than just producing new fighter jets.
Eagle Crest includes the production of F-15EX aircraft, systems integration, modernization and upgrades of existing aircraft, maintenance, ground infrastructure creation, and comprehensive support for the fighters throughout their service life.
Orders under the framework agreement are planned to be placed through August 24, 2031. The program's funding will come from separate contracts, meaning not all $131.23 billion may be spent.
The first contract, valued at $343.7 million, is already in place and focuses on research and development related to the F-15.
The agreement has international implications, applying to current and potential foreign F-15 operators, including Japan, Israel, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Singapore, Poland, and Indonesia.
