Boeing Lands $31.5 Million Contract for P-8A Poseidon Sustainment Support
Boeing has secured a $31.5 million contract from the US Navy to provide sustainment support for the P-8A Poseidon, an anti-submarine warfare aircraft operated by the US and several allied nations.
The modification covers four areas: platform sustainment, support equipment maintenance, engineering investigations, and integrated maintenance augmentation support.
Boeing will work with the US Navy and six foreign operators - Australia, the UK, Norway, New Zealand, South Korea, and Germany - to ensure the P-8A fleet remains operational through September 2027.
The contract is part of the incremental acquisition strategy used by NAVAIR for P-8A modernization, which allows new capabilities to be introduced without waiting for a completely new aircraft.
