Boeing Lands $552M Navy Contract for MQ-25A Stingray Aircraft Production
Boeing has secured a significant contract from the US Department of Defense to produce MQ-25A Stingray aircraft for the Navy. The $552 million agreement will see Boeing manufacture three low-rate initial production Lot One aircraft and acquire long-lead components for three additional Lot Two aircraft.
The work on this project will take place primarily in St. Louis, Missouri, which accounts for 56% of the contract activity. Other locations include Torrance, California at 8%, Indianapolis, Indiana at 4%, Quebec, Canada at 3%, and McKinney, Texas at 2%. Additional work will occur in Ontario, Canada, Kansas City, Missouri, Wichita, Kansas, Irvine, California, and various other sites.
The Navy will fund the contract using fiscal 2025 aircraft procurement funds totaling $100 million and fiscal 2026 aircraft procurement funds of $64.4 million. The project is scheduled for completion in July 2031.
