Boeing Lands Record-Breaking 173 Aircraft Orders at Farnborough

Boeing dominated the Farnborough International Airshow with an impressive 173 aircraft orders, surpassing its competitor Airbus with 154 jet orders.

The aerospace giant secured significant deals from major purchasers, including SMBC Aviation Capital, which ordered 100 Boeing 737 MAX airplanes, featuring 60 737-10 and 40 737-8 jets. Riyadh Air exercised options for 28 Boeing 787 Dreamliners from a 2023 order, converting 20 aircraft to the larger 787-10 variant.

Boeing also showcased its military capabilities with the debut of the MQ-28 Ghost Bat, an uncrewed aircraft that participated in multinational exercises in the Western Pacific. The company highlighted the Ghost Bat's surveillance and electronic warfare assistance features.
