Boeing Nails First 737 MAX Landing Gear Replacement
Boeing has announced that it has successfully completed the first landing gear replacement on its 737 MAX aircraft, marking a significant milestone in its maintenance program. The intervention involved the supply and installation of overhauled main and nose landing gear assemblies, certified by Boeing, along with their corresponding mounting kits.
This achievement enables airlines to reduce the time their planes spend on the ground for maintenance, as well as manage inventory costs more efficiently. Instead of having to purchase or store spare parts, airlines can now rely on Boeing's global overhaul capacity, which is being expanded through partnerships with certified maintenance providers.
