Boeing Offers 10% Wage Hike to Union Employees
Boeing has made its final offer to the Society of Professional Engineering Employees in Aerospace (SPEEA) union, following a rejected proposal in August. The new offer includes an immediate 10% guaranteed wage increase for professional and technical unit employees effective October 16.
The proposed four-year contract also provides for another 4% guaranteed increase during the annual compensation review in March 2027. Additionally, wage pools of 6% would be established for 2028, 2029, and 2030, with a 4% guaranteed increase for all employees in each of those years.
Boeing said the offer addresses priorities identified by SPEEA-represented engineers, scientists, and technical workers. The company's vice president and functional chief engineer for Production Engineering, Ben Nimmergut, stated that the proposal includes 'an immediate wage increase and larger wage pools with guarantees.'
