Boeing Partners with Thailand on Competency-Based Pilot Training
Boeing has partnered with Thailand's Civil Aviation Authority (CAAT) to introduce its Competency-Based Training and Assessment (CBTA) Learning Library solution across flight training organizations throughout the country.
The initiative marks the first time a regulator has implemented CBTA across an entire ecosystem, aiming to support the development of the next generation of airline pilots by providing access to Boeing's learning content.
The CAAT and Boeing commemorated the agreement at APATS in Bangkok, where they emphasized their shared commitment to enhancing aviation safety, training quality, and workforce readiness.
With demand for 66,000 new pilots expected to grow across Southeast Asia over the next 20 years, Thailand's flight schools will be well positioned to develop pilots with the technical and behavioral competencies required for successful airline careers by aligning their training with internationally recognized CBTA principles.
