Boeing Seals Deal for 150 737 MAX Jets with Turkish Airlines

Boeing is on the verge of finalizing a deal for 150 of its 737 MAX jets with Turkish Airlines, after a long-standing dispute over maintenance agreements with engine manufacturer CFM.

The purchase was initially part of a larger agreement involving 225 jets, which was discussed following a meeting between Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan and U.S. President Donald Trump.

Turkish Airlines had threatened to cancel the order due to disagreements over the cost of long-term repairs and the level of involvement in the maintenance process.

However, recent negotiations have smoothed over the issues, with a potential signing anticipated next week.
