Boeing Secures $131.2 Billion Contract for F-15EX Jets, Including Polish Option
The US Department of War has awarded Boeing a massive contract worth over $131.2 billion to deliver F-15EX Eagle II multi-role combat aircraft to several export customers, including Poland.
The agreement, known as an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract (IDIQ), covers the delivery of equipment and services necessary for the maintenance, servicing, repair, modification, and modernization of the machines for the needs of the US Air Force, US Air National Guard, and other Department of War customers.
The contract also includes potential customers participating in the Foreign Military Sales programme, such as Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Israel, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Singapore, and Poland. However, it's essential to note that Poland's inclusion on the list does not necessarily mean they have officially placed an order for the F-15EX.
The contract deadline for placing orders is set for August 2031, with the possibility of extending the agreement by five years until August 2036. All orders are expected to be completed by August 2037.
