Boeing Secures $131B F-15 Contract, Sparking Bullish Sentiment Among Traders
The US Air Force has awarded Boeing a massive $131.23 billion contract to produce and upgrade F-15 Eagle fighter jets. The agreement covers aircraft production, systems integration, modernization, upgrades, retrofits, and sustainment of critical F-15 capabilities for the Air Force, Air National Guard, and other Department of War customers.
The work will be performed in St. Louis, Missouri, with the ordering period set to run through 2031, and an option to extend it through 2036. The contract also includes foreign military sales to Japan, Israel, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Singapore, Indonesia, and Poland.
Retail traders on Stocktwits turned bullish on Boeing's stock after the contract announcement, with some predicting a sharp near-term rally. One trader even predicted that BA shares could climb to $215 in the next trading session.
