Boeing Secures FAA Certification for New 737-7 MAX
The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has granted Boeing an amended type certificate for its new 737-7, marking a significant milestone in the company's certification program.
The approval, which followed over 1,000 hours of testing, clears the smallest and longest-range 737 MAX for commercial service and inclusion under Production Certificate No. 700.
This development is expected to support delivery and cash flow momentum for Boeing, as it enables deliveries to launch customer Southwest Airlines.
However, concerns about structural quality control issues and future certification delays remain a key uncertainty for the company's stock over the next few years.
