Boeing Sees Boost from New Investor and Defense Deals
German American Bancorp Inc., an institutional investor, has made a new investment in Boeing Company (NYSE:BA) by purchasing 23,526 shares of its stock. The investment is valued at approximately $5,093,000.
This is not the only recent development in Boeing's ownership structure. Vanguard Group Inc. increased its stake in Boeing by 5.1% in the fourth quarter and now owns 70,989,438 shares of the aircraft producer's stock valued at $15,413,227,000. Other institutional investors such as Newport Trust Company LLC, Geode Capital Management LLC, Fisher Asset Management LLC, and Charles Schwab Investment Management Inc. have also boosted their stakes in Boeing.
The Pentagon has signed framework agreements with Boeing and RTX to increase production of components for SM-3 Block IIA and Block IB interceptor missiles. This deal could provide greater visibility for Boeing's defense business and support incremental revenue. Additionally, Boeing is selling Wisk Aero, Insitu, and SkyGrid to Archer Aviation in an all-stock transaction that gives Boeing an approximately 20% stake in Archer.
