Boeing Sees Financial Recovery Take Flight with Accelerated Production Plans
Boeing's financial recovery is gaining momentum after the company delivered more airplanes in Q2 2025 than any quarter since 2018, marking a significant shift towards profitability. The aerospace giant generated positive free cash flow in three of the last four quarters, with $631 million in the latest quarter, indicating a gradual return to stability.
The company's production plan is accelerating, with Boeing aiming to increase its 737 production rate from 42 to 47 planes per month and eventually targeting 63. This move is expected to lead to more deliveries and cash inflow, with analysts forecasting free cash flow to grow to $6.2 billion by 2027.
The defense sector has also returned to profitability, securing a $131.2 billion contract for global F-15 upgrades, which could become a new source of profit and enhance overall financial health. Boeing's long-term cash flow outlook is strong, with analysts forecasting the company will achieve over $2.3 billion in free cash flow in 2023, growing to $15 billion by 2030 with an annual growth rate of 15%.
