Boeing Selects Liebherr-Aerospace for 777-8 Freighter Component Supply

Boeing has selected Liebherr-Aerospace to supply electronic components for its Boeing 777-8 Freighter aircraft. The agreement includes Liebherr's brake remote electronic unit, which will support active brake monitoring systems and comply with regulations from the FAA and EASA.

The brake remote electronic unit is designed to be versatile and reliable, focusing on system and position control, data concentration, data monitoring, and data conversion. This component has been in development since 2018 and is now being installed on Boeing aircraft.

Liebherr-Aerospace Chief Technology Officer Dr. Klaus Schneider stated that the company worked closely with Boeing over the past decade to bring this project to fruition.
