Boeing Sells eVTOL Subsidiaries to Archer Aviation
Boeing has announced that it will sell its three eVTOL subsidiaries - Wisk Aero, SkyGrid, and Isitu - to Archer Aviation in exchange for a minority stake in the eVTOL developer. The transaction is expected to create an end-to-end physical AI platform for aerospace and defense, centered on collaboration and technology-sharing.
The deal will give Boeing 19.75% of Archer's Class A common stock, with options to acquire additional shares over the next four years. This marks a significant investment by Boeing in the eVTOL space, which is expected to play a major role in the future of aviation.
