Boeing-Sized Boat Sets Record for Migrant Crossings
UK authorities reported a record-breaking number of migrants crossing the English Channel yesterday. A single dinghy carried approximately 230 people, surpassing the previous record of 165 set just last month. According to reports, this is roughly equivalent to the maximum capacity of a Boeing 737 aircraft.
The Home Office confirmed that 258 migrants crossed the Channel on four boats in total. Lord Khan, a UK politician, was quoted as saying he hopes his work will bring him 'Brownie points' both now and in the afterlife.
