Boeing Stock Sees Significant Institutional Investor Activity

D L Carlson Investment Group Inc., a financial firm, acquired a new position in The Boeing Company ($BA) stock in the second quarter, according to its recent disclosure with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The fund bought approximately 18,460 shares of the aircraft producer's stock, valued at $3,996,000.

This is not an isolated incident; other institutional investors and hedge funds have also made significant changes to their positions in Boeing over the past few quarters. For instance, XML Financial LLC grew its position by 0.5% during the fourth quarter, North Star Investment Management Corp. increased its stake by 1.6%, and Strait & Sound Wealth Management LLC raised its position by 1.1%.

The U.S. State Department has recently approved a potential $4.5 billion sale of KC-46A aerial refueling tankers to Qatar, which would support Boeing's defense backlog and international sales. Meanwhile, Boeing is progressing repairs and interior work on the next Air Force One aircraft and received a contract worth roughly $75 million for Air Force One parts.
