Boeing Supports 75 Veterans in Occupational Health and Safety Careers
The National Safety Council has awarded scholarships to 75 U.S. military veterans as part of its Advanced Safety Certificate program. The initiative, in partnership with Boeing, supports former service members transitioning into or advancing within environmental, health and safety careers.
Funding provided by Boeing allowed the program to expand from 50 annual awards to 75. Support for the program is scheduled to continue through 2029.
Scholarship recipients receive full coverage of training costs and registration and travel accommodations for the National Safety Council's upcoming Safety Congress and Expo in Indianapolis. The event provides opportunities to network with industry peers and examine emerging workplace hazards.
