Boeing Teams Up with Archer Aviation in Autonomous Aviation Deal
Boeing and Archer Aviation have announced a significant partnership in autonomous aviation. As part of the deal, Archer is acquiring Boeing's Wisk Aero, Insitu, and SkyGrid subsidiaries. In return, Boeing will invest in Archer and collaborate on future projects.
The collaboration aims to create a 'diversified platform' for revenue scaling, according to Archer CEO Adam Goldstein. The agreement also allows Boeing to retain access to Wisk's core autonomous flight technology for its existing and next-generation aircraft.
Boeing shares have been trading higher by about half a percent on the news, with some analysts predicting potential upside. From a technical perspective, the stock is still acting constructively, but momentum needs follow-through to clean up the intermediate trend.
