Boeing Whistleblower's Death Sparks Safety Concerns Amid New Evidence
A whistleblower's death has sparked conspiracy theories and rumors about Boeing's safety standards. John Barnett, a quality manager at Boeing's North Charleston plant, worked on the 787 Dreamliner project.
Barnett documented photographs showing metal lying near flight-control wiring and records suggesting that emergency oxygen systems might fail to provide oxygen.
He also left behind memos about defects that he said his managers chose not to address. Barnett was mysteriously found dead in a hotel parking lot after giving testimony against the company.
