Boeing Wins $75 Million Contract for JDAM LR Production

The US Air Force has awarded Boeing a $75 million contract to produce the JDAM-LR, a precision-guided munition system designed for long-range attacks.

This is a major milestone for the system, according to Bob Ciesla, vice president of Boeing Precision Engagement Systems. The JDAM-LR offers a low-cost solution for eliminating land and sea-based threats to US and international forces.

The contract follows nearly $100 million in investment into the programme, which also clears it for initial productions of PDUs for the US Navy.
