Boeing Wins Contract for Next-Gen Satellite Comms Under LAND 4140 Program

Boeing Defence Australia has been awarded a contract to deliver next-generation Beyond Line-of-Sight (BLOS) satellite communications under the LAND 4140 program for the Australian Defence Force. The Class Two SATCOM capability will provide faster, uninterrupted and more reliable connectivity in complex and contested operational environments.

The new systems will use high-speed, wideband satellite links to strengthen connectivity, interoperability and the flow of operational information across Australia's Integrated Force. This capability is designed for the modern battlefield and draws on Boeing Defence Australia's proven experience delivering enterprise-wide communications systems for Defence.

Boeing said the advanced BLOS system will ensure uninterrupted data flow that allows the Australian Defence Force to connect when needed and operate with confidence when it matters most. The new terminals are intended to maintain communications beyond direct line of sight in increasingly demanding operating conditions.
