Boeing's Active Parallel Actuator System to Enhance MH-47G Helicopter Precision
The US Special Operations Command has awarded Boeing a $55.4 million contract to integrate its Active Parallel Actuator System (APAS) into MH-47G Block II helicopters.
Boeing's APAS technology, developed in partnership with BAE Systems, provides pilots with tactile cues and force feedback through the aircraft's conventional controls.
This is particularly relevant for the MH-47G Block II, flown by the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment, also known as the Night Stalkers, which requires precision during demanding flight profiles.
