Boeing's F-15EX Eagle II Fleet Heads to Kadena

The F-15EX Eagle II, a variant of the McDonnell Douglas-designed fighter, has been spotted at Boeing's production facility in St. Louis, Missouri.

According to reports, the aircraft received a 'ZZ' tail flash and is painted with the unit insignia of the US Air Force 18th Fighter Wing.

The first F-15EX, tail number 22-0022, was seen at the production plant still in factory primer before being flown on August 15, making its first validation flight.

This particular aircraft is part of Lot 3 production and marks a delayed deployment to Kadena Air Base in Japan, which will receive 36 F-15EX Eagle IIs by 2028.
