Boeing's Long-Awaited 737 MAX 10 and 777-9 Nearing Certification
Boeing's three latest aircraft are finally nearing certification for commercial service. The MAX 7 has been certified, while the 737 MAX 10 and 777-9 are expected to follow shortly in 2027. The 737 MAX 10 and 777-9 have received over 1,400 and 500 orders respectively, making them crucial products for Boeing.
The certification process has been a long one, with the 737 MAX 10 and 777-9 originally expected to enter service in 2020. However, due to delays, their entry into service has been pushed back by seven years. The MAX 7's certification has allowed Boeing to devote more resources to the certification of the 777-9.
Both aircraft have made significant progress in recent months, with the 737 MAX 10 concluding its certification flights on July 28. The 777-9 is currently over halfway through its certification flight testing, having logged over 1,700 flights and over 4,800 flight hours.
