A sequel to the 2022 documentary 'Downfall: The Case Against Boeing' is set to be released on Netflix. The new film, titled 'Freefall: A Reckoning for Boeing', will explore further allegations of corporate accountability and aviation safety failures at the company. Director Rory Kennedy expressed hope that her first film would lead to real change within Boeing, but instead found a continued culture of cost cutting and coverups.

The documentary follows the death of Boeing whistleblower John Barnett and other whistleblowers who have come forward with alarming testimony about the company's practices. Netflix's synopsis emphasizes the human cost of these failures, citing 'fatal aviation safety failures' led by Boeing's 'culture of cost cutting and coverups'. The film reunites much of the same creative team from the first documentary.
