BQP Lands $8M in Funding from IBM Ventures to Expand Beyond Aerospace

BQP, a New York City-based provider of a physics acceleration platform, has secured a strategic investment from IBM Ventures. The deal also involved Venn10 Capital and Monta Vista Capital.

The total amount raised was $8 million, which BQP plans to use to expand its presence in the market beyond aerospace and defense sectors.

Founded by CEO Abhishek Chopra, BQP offers a platform called BQPhy that accelerates physics simulations within operational decision windows. This is achieved through the integration of physics-AI optimization solvers into existing engineering environments like MATLAB, Python, and Julia.
