Brighton Fan Charged Over Alleged Homophobic Abuse at Leeds Match
A 55-year-old man has been charged by police after an alleged incident of homophobic abuse at a football match between Brighton and Leeds.
The reported incident occurred during the fixture at the American Express Community Stadium on Saturday, September 5. A man was arrested in connection with the incident, which led to Alexander Bishop being charged later that day.
Bishop, of Martlet Way, Brockworth, Gloucester, faces a charge of using threatening or abusive words or behavior likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress. He is due to appear before Brighton Magistrates' Court on December 3.
