A British Airways Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner was preparing to depart Montreal Trudeau Airport on September 5 when its left rear emergency evacuation slide deployed unexpectedly.

The incident occurred while the aircraft, registration G-ZBLA, was still at the gate and had not yet pushed back. Ground crew noticed the slide inflate, bringing pre-departure preparations to a halt.

A catering truck was positioned nearby, and maintenance teams were called in to secure the area, deflate, and remove the slide. They inspected the affected door and surrounding fuselage before determining if the aircraft could continue its scheduled service.
