Broadcom Joins Nvidia's Open Secure AI Alliance to Combat Closed Model Risks
Nvidia's Open Secure AI Alliance has gained a new member in Broadcom, which will lead its involvement in the venture's open-source mission to secure enterprise AI systems.
The alliance now has 74 members, up from almost 40 founders at its inception. Other notable members include VMware owner Netskope, Nutanix, Akamai, and Cisco.
Nvidia is pushing for an open defensive stack around AI agents to counter cybersecurity dependence on closed and centrally controlled models.
Broadcom's Chris Wolf explained that the firm has historically played significant leadership roles in driving open and interoperable technology ecosystems, including contributing to Kubernetes projects such as Harbor, Antrea, Velero, and Contour.
