Broadcom Sees Explosive Growth from Emerging AI Leader Anthropic
Broadcom reported its Q3 fiscal year earnings on September 2, exceeding analyst expectations for adjusted EPS of $3.24 and revenue of $29.36 billion.
The company's stock fell despite beating estimates due to a forecasted sales shortfall in the current quarter.
However, Broadcom expects its sales to Anthropic, a leading AI model developer behind Claude, to surpass those to Alphabet's Google division by 2027.
Athropic is anticipated to become the largest purchaser of Broadcom's XPU hardware next year, with orders from the company ramping up significantly in Q4.
The firm also expects substantial growth in sales to OpenAI and Alphabet, with projected deployment for its Jalapeno XPU chips to increase from 1.3 gigawatts in 2027 to 5 gigawatts in 2028.
